Lions Club of Eldoret held its annual eye camp on Friday 18th of March 2011 to Sunday 20th March 2011 at the Eldoret Hospital. It was partly sponsored by Car and General Ltd, and many other individual donors.
171 patients were screened from all walks of life from the Western Kenya Region. They were under the care of a specialised team of Ophthalmologists. Out of those screened, 53 eye cataract operations were carried out at no charges.
We convey our sincere gratitude to the main sponsor Car and General Company and more so to the convener of the eye camp Dr .P. V. Lodhia and the entire staff of Eldoret Hospital for providing exceptional care to all patients during their stay at the hospital.
